  • The Oak House Studio & Therapies Church Lane (off Great North Road), George's Gate Hatfield, England, AL9 5HX United Kingdom (map)

With Mimi & Anandana

Come along and spend a beautiful winter’s day reviving your mind-body-spirit connection - the totality of your being. The idea is that these three aspects of ourselves are interconnected. We experience the world through our mind, body and spirit. When one of these aspects is out of balance, it can affect others. That’s why it’s important to take care of all three aspects of ourselves equally.

The Mind-Body Connection

Our thoughts and emotions impact our body. When the mind is stressed, our physical health suffers. Thus, it is important to reduce stress and promote a healthy lifestyle, such as a balanced diet and hydration, regular exercise such as yoga, getting enough rest and spending time with nature - a healthy body = a healthy mind.

The Body-Spirit Connection

Our physical bodies are just one part of who we are. We also have non-physical aspects that make up our spirit. When our spirit is balanced, it has a positive impact on our physical health. Mindful practises such as breath work, meditation and sound healing tends help balance our spiritual self by lowering stress levels, enabling better coping skills when faced with difficulties, stronger relationships and a greater sense of purpose in life.

Benefits of Mind-Body-Spirit Integration

When we live our lives from a place of mind-body-spirit integration, we are tapping into the most powerful force of healing and transformation. When we heal the body, we heal the mind and spirit. When we awaken spiritually, we open up new possibilities for physical and emotional health.

The mind is responsible for our thoughts and emotions which plays a big role in our physical health. Managing our thoughts and emotions, we reduce stress and promote positive wellbeing.

The body is our vehicle of physical expression and experience. Taking care of our bodies, we feel better physically and mentally and in turn, are more in touch with our spirituality.

The spirit is the part that connects us to a higher power. When we tap into our spirituality, we find guidance, peace and healing. Thus mind-body-spirit integration helps us create a holistic sense of self that is healthy and whole.
