
Slow Down Yoga Course with Paula Malloy - 6 Weeks
Throughout our Yoga Slow class, we focus on the finer details of the practice. There is no hurry to finish a sequence, as you'll hold postures longer than in a flowing vinyasa class, giving the opportunity to feel into all aspects and the effects of the practice from the inside out while exploring deeper into mind and body. The movements and breathing practices encourage body maintenance, stimulating blood and lymphatic flow, warming and mobilizing the joints, improving the flow of energy and dissolve muscular and mental tension, the class finishes with relaxation / meditation. This class is perfect for those who wish to move more slowly in their yoga practice, for those who feel a 'bit rusty' or are looking to get back into yoga after some time away from the mat.

Enjoy an hour of special bonding time with your baby while leaving totally relaxed.
During the class we will be focusing on some nurturing Postnatal Yoga for mums to focus on areas such as releasing tightness in neck, shoulders and back as well as focusing on our abdominal and pelvic floor muscles and supporting our back and regaining strength in the whole body.
We also will be focusing on bonding with our babies with some wonderful baby yoga moves to help baby to stay nice and flexible, develop baby's digestive & immune system and to sleep better.
Suitable for new mums with their babies from 6 weeks onwards after a normal delivery or when you get the ok from your doctor to exercise again after a c-section. Sessions are suitable for babies until crawling.

Beginners Yoga 8 week course with Paula Malloy
This course is perfect for those who are new to yoga or if you’re looking for a yoga ‘refresher’ course. Each class is held at the beautiful Oak House Studio in the grounds of Hatfield House. The classes are gentle, kind and inclusive, where we will build knowledge and postures week-by-week slowly and thoroughly, step by step and together, while addressing key points and alignment in the practice. You will be guided through the basics of yoga postures (asanas), sequencing, healthy individual alignment and breath techniques (pranayama). You'll also learn the foundations of simple meditation, relaxation and mindfulness techniques.

Candlelit Winter Solstice - Afternoon Retreat - £45

The winter solstice is a celebration of the shortest day of the year, signifying the completion of another life cycle. This has long been celebrated as a return back to the light. has been designed to help you reflect on 2024 and enter the New Year with ease and a sense of direction.
According to Ayurvedic medicine (The sister science to Yoga), the Winter season embodies a 'hibernation' mode. A subtle withdrawing and slowing down. As nature is laid bare and more reclusive, this particular stillness invites our internal energies to slow down, reflect and nurture ourselves.
Autumn is naturally a transition time and flowing in to Winter calls as a perfect space to rest, reflect and to create an inspired vision for our New Years and this is what you will be invited to do at Rest to Reflect!
As the days are comprised of coldness and darkness, our bodies intuitively know to slow down. Depending on how in tune you have been with the seasons in 2024, alongside the natural energies of Winter, your physical body may experience feelings of:

Winter Deep Rest - Afternoon Retreat - £50
Join Anna Taylor for a winter deep rest reset at The Oak House, a beautiful yoga studio set in the heart of the grounds at Hatfield House (just 20/25 mins on the train from Finsbury Park or Kings Cross, London).
While the festive season can bring with it many joys, there can often feel much to do, at a time of year when we are low on resources. We might crave time and space to slow and still, yet struggle to carve this out for ourselves.
My intention is that this half-day retreat will feel like a warm, winter balm allowing you to gently unwind and deeply relax so that you feel recharged for the festivities that lie ahead. We will take our time to catch our breath, unwind tension through gentle, mindful movement before soaking up deep rest with restorative yoga and yoga nidra.
Restorative yoga is beautiful practice that invites us to drop into the support of props to access deep rest. The venue has all the props you will need so that we can feel held by bolsters and wrapped in the softness of blankets as we drop into stillness.
Attending the workshop provides you with an opportunity to make a day of your visit. You can experience the festive decorations of the Stable Yard Shops, enjoy some retail therapy with independent retailers, grab lunch or a hot drink at The Coach House Kitchen or head for a winter walk in Hatfield House's grounds (lunch and ground access are at additional cost and can be purchased at Hatfield House on the day).
