Podiatry / Chiropodist
20 - 30 Minutes
£60 - £75
Treatment Description
Podiatry, the modern term for chiropody, focuses on the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of foot-related issues. Podiatrists are skilled in addressing a range of conditions that affect your feet, which can enhance mobility, alleviate pain, and manage infections.
They play a crucial role in managing chronic conditions, particularly diabetes. Without proper guidance and intervention, diabetes can lead to serious foot complications due to damage to blood vessels and nerves.
You might consult a podiatrist if you experience foot pain, skin issues such as cracks or cuts, growths like verrucas, or scaling and peeling on the soles. Podiatrists can also offer customised insoles, padding, and arch supports to alleviate arch or heel pain, helping to reduce pressure on sensitive areas of the foot.
