Denise Gaskell
Denise's journey with yoga has been transformative, both personally and professionally.
She obtained her 500-hour yoga teacher certification in 2017, driven by her discovery of yoga's profound impact on illness and injury rehabilitation. Since then, Denise has continued to deepen her expertise, focusing on dysfunctional movement and its holistic effects on physical and mental well-being. Her training extends to Breathwork & Pranayama, Somatic Movement, meditation, and Ayurveda, enriching her holistic approach to teaching.
Influenced by Hatha, Vinyasa, and Yin styles of yoga, Denise adopts a therapeutic approach in her classes. She integrates Somatic Movement—a technique involving small, focused movements to release tension—into her yoga sessions to enhance ease, deepen body awareness, and foster mindful, functional movement practices. Denise's classes are inclusive, encouraging students to honor their body's innate wisdom and customise their practice to meet individual needs with each session.
Denise's ultimate goal is to empower her students to take ownership of their practice, guiding them towards creating more balance in their lives through insightful instruction and compassionate support. She finds immense joy in witnessing the positive transformations that yoga brings to her students' lives, reinforcing her dedication to sharing the transformative power of yoga with others.
