Nicola Barlow

Nicola is a dedicated Yoga, Meditation, and Breathwork teacher whose passion lies in creating transformative experiences through movement and mindfulness. With a preference for Vinyasa Yoga—a dynamic practice that synchronises breath with movement—Nicola also values the precision and alignment offered by Hatha Yoga. She believes that slowing down allows practitioners to refine their alignment, a crucial aspect often overlooked in faster-paced classes.

Her teaching philosophy centers around providing a safe and supportive environment for students to unwind, release tension, and reconnect with themselves. Nicola emphasises connecting breath to movement to enhance vital energy, simultaneously challenging strength and flexibility while fostering a sense of enjoyment and fun in her classes.

Nicola's journey with yoga began approximately 20 years ago, initially focusing on fitness. However, after a period dedicated to weight training, gym classes, and Tough Mudders, she returned to yoga due to tightness and physical strain. This return reignited her passion for yoga, revealing its deeper benefits beyond physical exercise. She found profound changes in both her physical and mental well-being, particularly through the incorporation of Breathwork into her practice.

Driven by her transformative experiences, Nicola immersed herself in yoga, attending classes regularly and ultimately pursuing formal teacher training. She completed her 500-hour British Wheel of Yoga Qualification Level 4 (RQF) Diploma Course, solidifying her commitment to sharing the holistic benefits of yoga with others.

Nicola's teaching is grounded in her personal journey of discovery and growth through yoga, meditation, and breathwork, inspiring her students to embark on their own paths of self-discovery and well-being.
