Beginner's Yoga The Next Steps is those who are looking to continue their fledging yoga journey, or for those in need of a ‘refresher’ / slower class.
If you have completed a beginner's course and wondering which yoga class to attend or would like progress your yoga practice further. Maybe you're feeling a little rusty, then Beginner's Yoga The Next Steps is for you.
With continued learning through yoga stretches, breathing practices and yoga philosophy, the Beginner's Yoga The Next Steps, is a detailed course, with explanations about the yoga we are practicing.
You will have the opportunity to ask questions if you're unsure and you will be guided through the anatomy of yoga postures (asanas), sequencing, healthy individual alignment and breath techniques (pranayama) as well as meditation and relaxation techniques.
In the next steps, we feel our way through a yoga class environment and explore some of the varying styles that yoga offers, while practicing at a pace that means you learn thoroughly, step by step, while addressing key points in the practice.

Beginners Progression - 8 week Course - 13th March - 15th May 2024 - £115
Beginner's yoga is perfect for those who are new to yoga or if you’re looking for a yoga ‘refresher’ course.
The course is being held at the beautiful Oak House Studio in the grounds of Hatfield House.
Come along and explore what yoga can do for you. A gentle and kind class where we will build
knowledge and postures week-by-week as you will be guided through the basics of yoga postures (asanas), sequencing, healthy alignment and breath techniques (pranayama).
You'll also learn simple meditation and relaxation techniques. We will learn the postures slowly and thoroughly, step by step, while addressing key points and alignment in the practice.
This beginner's course will offer you:
Breaking down postures to learn foundations of the yoga poses.
Learn basic anatomy to help understand postural alignment.
Address any injuries and ailments to understand how a yoga practice will benefit you.
Breathing techniques.
Exploring the art of stillness to quieten the mind.
Basic meditation and relaxation practices.
You will be emailed pictures of the postures we learn each week for you to practice at home.

Beginners Yoga Workshop - 8 week Course - £110
8 week course with Paula Malloy
The beginner’s yoga course builds week-by-week. You will be guided into learning key yoga postures (asanas), sequencing of movement, healthy alignment for your body, basic breath techniques (pranayama) as well as accessible meditation and relaxation techniques. You will also, be sent an email summarising the postures you have learnt in each class
We practice at a steady pace that allows you learn slowly and thoroughly, step by step, while addressing key points in the practice. At the end of this course you will have an understanding of:
